Salvation

Christian salvation is a seldom well-explained phrase today. To recieve salvation is as simple as ABC. However, many groups in the world would have you do something to earn the free gift of Jesus Christ. Salvation is not a new set of rules to live by. It is a change in ownership.

You see, to become a Christian, you have to recognize 3 things:

1.) First, you Admit that you have failed God. God requires that you be perfect to enter heaven. Moreover, He requires that you admit that you are not perfect, only Jesus is. (Romans 3:23, 6:23)

2.) Second, you Believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven. This means that you seek to be right with God no other way than through belief in Jesus. (John 14:6, Acts 4:12)

3.) Third, you Confess that Jesus is your only hope, accepting Him as ruler of your life. That means that when questions arise in your mind as to what to do, you turn to the Bible and prayer. That also means you share Jesus with those around you. You don't have to be a public speaker, you just need to share what Jesus has done for you! (Romans 10:9-10, Matthew 10:32)

If you want to ask Jesus into your heart right now, it's as simple as praying a prayer from a heart that desires real change. Your prayer may go something like this:

"Jesus, I believe that you are real. I believe that you died for me on the cross. I am sorry that I have lived my life for myself. I want you to take over my life. I can't live a life that pleases you without you. Jesus, I invite you into my heart. Teach me what I need each day from your Word. Help me to share what you've done in my life with others. Thank you for saving me."

If you have invited Jesus into your heart, congratulations! You will never make a more important decision than the one you just made. If you prayed that prayer, would you call us at 334-762-2759? Or you can send us an email to rockyheadbaptist@gmail.com. We would love to hear from you.

Remember, Jesus loves you, died for you, and wants you to get plugged into a body of Bible believing Christian brothers and sisters. Come join us!
